NapoMUN 2017 Executive Committee

MIHNEA STOICA, Founder and Conference Supervisor

Mihnea Stoica was born in the beautiful city of Cluj-Napoca, where he lived most of his life. He has a double degree, in law and political sciences at the Babeș-Bolyai University. He followed his master’s studies in comparative European politics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Mihnea is one of the founders of NapoMUN, being the conference manager between 2009 and 2013. He participated in about 20 MUN conferences around Europe, amongst which the ones in Germany (Bonn), the Netherlands (Utrecht), Spain (Salamanca), Slovenia (Ljubljana), Croatia (Zagreb), Bulgaria (Sofia) and Republic of Moldova (Chișinău). He was the first Secretary-General of KULMUN, in Belgium (Leuven).

Mihnea is happy to see that the tradition of NapoMUN is taken further by a group of young enthusiastic people who he believes will take the event to another level.


 

PAULA SORAN, Conference Manager

Paula is a graduate of the Faculty of History and Philosophy and is currently doing her master’s studies at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.

During the past two years, as a vicepresident and president of UN Youth Association of Romania, Cluj Branch she coordinated and monitored the activity of the organization.

Her passion for MUN conferences started when she was part of the organizing team for CNHMUN (Cluj Napoca High School Model United Nations), which is one her dearest projects,  but also by participating to other MUNs.

She is very excited to get to know the NAPOMUNERS of 2017.


DENISA NEAGOE, PR & Communication Coordinator

Denisa is a 3rd year Journalism student at the College of Political Administrative and Communication Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University.

She’s been a part of UN Youth Association of Romania for more than two years now where she was a HR director and then vicepresident and where she coordinated and participated to various events.

She was part of the organizing team at CNHMUN (Cluj Napoca High School Model United Nations) and participated as volunteer at BISMUN (Bucharest International Student Model United Nations) where she discovered her passion for MUN conferences.

She can’t wait to meet the delegates of NAPOMUN 2017!


MIROSLAV POPESCU, Marketing Coordinator

Born in the beautiful town near the Danube, Moldova-Nouă, Caraș-Severin county, for Miroslav Popescu,volunteering is a part of his lifestyle now.

At the moment, he is studying International Relations and European Studies at the Faculty of History and Philosophy, Babeș-Bolyai University, in Cluj. Also, he is occupying the director position of the Marketing Department in the UN Youth Association of Romania – Cluj Branch. As an active member in the association, he helped in the good organization of several projects that are promoting the UN principles and values and the image of the Association.

Within this event, Miroslav coordinates the Marketing Department and is extremely excited and impatient for this year’s edition.


IOANA MOȚOC, HR Coordinator

Originally from Bacău, Ioana is one of the young people for whom volunteering is a way of life.

At the moment she is a International Relations and European Studies student at the Faculty of History and Philosophy and the president of UN Youth Association of Romania, Cluj Branch.

Over the time she organized various academic events that promoted the UN’s values, including Mini-MUNs.

Ioana is the coordinator of the Human Resources Department at NapoMUN and she can’t wait to meet you all!


FLORENTINA SOLOMON, Social Coordinator

Florentina is originally from one of the most beautiful and rich city in the history of Romania, Alba Iulia. Because of the ancient root she feels like shehas to be the coordinator of Social Events at NAPOMUN. She is a student in the second year at Security Studies at Babes Bolyai University. Volunteering is a part of her for more than 6 months. Now she is the PR director in UN Youth association but, before that, she was in Project department. This transition says about her that she likes challenges. She was involved in many projects in last 6 months but the most important wore: Press officer at BISMUN; delegate at General Assembly and other projects. Her passion for MUN conference was discovered before being a volunteer. Therefore she was at conference simulation in Vienna, Bruxelles and Bucharest. She counts the days until the first day of event begin.
